Yeah, the solenoid seems like a lot of trouble to hook up for really nothing.
I looked on warn's web sight and I think the eaisest and probably most economical thing to do would be to get the toggle switch made specifically for the 2000lb winch.
I wonder if I could run that switch without the solenoid? It looks like it could handle the power. If so it would be pretty easy to wire up. Just take off the round switch wire it up and find a good spot to mount it. (and I could sell the solenoid I am not using on ebay to help pay for it)
I will probably just hold off buying the switch for now. I would ratcher spend my money on the black spring, and some bigger kehin jets for the carb.

That's allot of bulky wires to run.
Check on the 2500 contactor, and a return to center w/p switch.
2 batt, 2 winch, 2 small switch wires and maybe a small power wire (can't remember)
I think I paid about 65 for the contactor and 5 or so for the switch.
