Scotia650 - If it runs really good, don't bother messing with it. That being said, most people on the forum have either put on a DiaG snorkle or put a bunch of holes in the airbox cover. That will make a big difference in the size of the jets.

That's what I thought too, it runs great. If it ain't broke don't fix it, right?
Just wanted another opinion, Thanks.

Where do you generally ride, do you attend any of the poker runs? Maybe we could get togeather for a ride, I have two others that I usually go with, all 650s.

You mentioned in another thread that you work for Michelin, do you know Vince Hannaford.

Scotia650 - there's a poker rally across the province from you in Lockport on the 23rd of March, unless there's too much snow. I don't know Vince.

Well I put the new carb boot on and still no difference. I am gettting fuel to both carbs. I am guessing it might be from the front diapham but it is fitting in the groove fine and it has no holes. I was wondering if one slide would open without the other opening because nither one opens. Also does the airbox have to be on to work because I don't want to keep puting it on if I haven't solve my promlem. Any help would be great I would hate to get out my B F Hammer

Maybe the jet is rough or something....if the machine worked before you changed jets, it still has something to do with the work you've done. If you open the throttle half-way does the slide open on both carbs? (with the machine running, of course). If it doesn't open at half throttle, it's not the main jet.

Nova I got it fixed the diaphams were both messed up the bike must of back fired through the carbs and burnd the rubber a bit and it was not sealing right so I was told to put them in the freezer for a while and they contracted and fit great. I did take the washers off the needles and was in the process of putting everything back to stock and try to see if it worked then so I do have to put the washer back in. It runs good all the way through the throttle but it has a little hesitation at take off.

I did nyrocs muffler mod but I drilled 6 5/8hole instead of 3/8 and have Diamond G snorkle and am running twin air filter. I put in the black spring in but I have to go pick up a belt because mine is just under specs. I knew the belt was bad but I had to build the funds back up after buying the betterhalfs her 650. Its hard to tell how fast it is going to go now with the mods but before I could get 64 with 28in gators in the lenght of my driveway but after the nice sunny day we had today the ice melted in the driveway and now I have 4 to 5in of slush so at 40 I got off the throttle but it powered up to 40 a lot quicker.
