I just cut out pluck board and fasten it right to the factory and it works great for me.

While surfing a few weeks back I stumbled on this site:

http://www.utahsportcycle.com/ricoFS.htm

Their prices are 229.00 for complete skid set which includes full skid, rear swing, and A-arms. I haven't ordered any from them yet but they seem to have the best price I've found!

I like the idea of making them yourself too, but i am like code 54 what is pluck board? it seems to me that over $200 is really high for skid plates, when i could buy the metal for $50 and cut my own. they might not look as nice but i sure i could get them to work.

I got Ricoche plates and I love them. You can get them from rockymountainatv.com but I found Ricoche in the back of an atv magazine. Look for them, it is worth it.
