I just helped my friend take apart his swing arm and shock linkage on his 2000 400ex and discovered the factory grease was minimal at best. Another friend found the same on the a-arms of his 2000 400ex. I took apart a 97 300ex swing arm and the needle bearings were shot. This after only three years I strongly recommend an owner of a new quad should regrease the suspension of their quad soon after purchase. This only after 3 years. This is widely known in the motorcross crowd too. Although I'd like to think it, I doubt this is a Honda only occurance.

drill a hole and tap it for a grease zerk it will be alot easier than pulling the complete swing arm off

You risk blowing out your seals every time you pump grease into it.
