Default Need Help!! (Alltoys)

Scrobe,

Nova is talking about the 10 amp fuse in the fuse block. It controls power to the actuator controller (the smaller black box). The controller also sends power to the engine brake actuator. Do you hear that power up when you turn on the key. Just trying to trace the problem. If it's not the fuse maybe I could send you a test to try the speed sensor.

Yes i can hear the actuator. When i shut my key off it makes that sound. There is 4 or 5 fuses in that box and they are all good. My main 30 amp fuse it good too. There must be a switch or cirrcut blown. Later thanxs for the replys.

Scrode, I just wanted to mention one thing. Most people's problems with the 4x4 not going have been a faulty speed sensor. Maybe when you had that spark attack episode something happened to it. The sensor signal hits the CDI, 4x4, and speedo in parallel, so if the speedo is shorted and grounding the speed sensor wire, then the KEBC module would not cause the 4x4 actuator to move.

Just a thought. I know Scotia mentioned it already.

I'm still thinking it might be related to the speed sensor. Do you have access to a Hand tester? Block the bike up, unplug the sensor and test between the Pink(+ on tester) and black/yellow(- on tester). Spin one of the rear wheels, the reading should be a repeating voltage of between 0-5v. Let us know how you make out and we'll go from there.

p.s. You can unplug at the cdi and test there, it might be the easiest place to access. If you want me to fax the page from the manual just give me your #.
