Mojave Stalling
Hello all,
A friend of mine has a Mojave and is having some problems. I told him I would post it on here and see
if anyone had any ideas.
Anyway he says that once it gets hot it loads up and then dies. Once it cools down it is okay until
it warms up again. He said his compression is ok, valves seem ok.
Could this be the cdi going out or carb or plug??
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Were heading off to the sand dunes in about 2 weeks.
Thanks,
Greg

Welcome to the forum, congrats on your first post.
If you haven't already done so, the first thing to try would definately be a new plug. If it's running good cold and not when hot it sounds like something in the electrical system is breaking down. If a new plug doesn't work then you'll probably have to work your way down (plug, ignition coil, stator, cdi, etc...). Let me know how you make out and I can give you a test for each item as you work your way through. Also, sometimes tracing electrical gremlins can be a real headache, you might want to consult with someone in your area with some more knowledge on your problem.
Let me know if I can help more.
