IMS quoted me $225 for their fuel tank. The brochure they faxed me states it a 4 gallon tank, not 4.5. Seems like a lot of money for an extra few miles.

 

Wow! Wow! thats way to much for .8 gallons, 225.00 their crazy. I hope some one sane comes up with something else....PLEASE.

 

Some one should get ahold of Clark. They make reasonably priced gas tanks.

 

A buddy of mine has a 700 and we ride hard and fast when we ride, and man does that thing drink fuel....but the range is a reasonable one; we'll ride 50-70 miles before he really needs to fill up. It seems to consume fuel at almost twice the rate of my prairie.

 

WOW when you work the P650 I drag the gas station with me... and those honda guys just laugh.. I can see them now if the 700 burns twice the 650.

 

My P650 and KFX use about the same amount of fuel on the same trail ride.

 

How many miles can you ride once the light comes on? If you are riding medium pace to get back to camp.

 

I get about 5 miles riding slow to med. speed, good luck.

 

When my KFX fuel light comes on ( about 30 miles of fast trail riding ) ..... I still have amost a gallon of fuel in the tank.
So for me, that is about another 12-15 miles.
