Default A little primary spring info

The Kawasaki primary spring is the same spring as the Polaris primaries. The stock V-Force spring (just as I guessed) is almost exactly the same as the stock Scrambler 500 blue/green spring. I ran a Polaris brown all day Sunday and really like it. Stall is approx. 300-500 RPM's above stock, hardly noticeable on the trails but definitely a little harder hit from a standstill and topend was improved. The problem with the Kawi is that it engages suddenly while the Polaris autos engage gradually. I put a Polaris red in the V-Force as an experiment and it wouldn't even engage until half throttle and then it engaged so hard it was unrideable.

Specs on the stock Polaris Blue/green Approx. 10/130
Specs on the Polaris Brown 85/209

Did you leave the brown spring in the V-Force or did you go back to stock. Thanx

Still running the brown. People new to autos seem to like the instant engagement, but if you've tuned an auto before you know a little stall is better.

I would recommend using the Polaris brown or orange or the AAEN Performance green spring.
Hotseat and HPD have the Polaris springs, AAEN has his own web site.

Which will accelerate faster a brown or an orange. Sorry for all the questions

The specs are so similar on the two, there will be very little difference in engagement. The brown will let the engine reach a little higher RPM.

How would the top end be improved? Wouldn't the primary be closed tight at top speed regardless of the spring used? All I can picture is that it may allow for higher revs before the primary closed, which in turn would give more torque. Wouldn't top end speed remain constant?

I phrased that poorly, I didn't mean a top speed increase. With the spring change and the extra RPM's I went from 3 quadlengths behind a modified Banshee to only 1 quadlength behind at the end of the race. Where the 700 used to feel like it flattened out a little near the end of the race, it now feels like its still making some power past the midrange.
