Lost Bottom End With HMF Duals
I have the airbox mod and 160, 165 jetting the plugs are tan, a twin air filter and HMF duals it is much faster at the top end but it seems to have lost a little at the bottom. I was wondering if it was the pipe or maybe my belt should be tighter, what are the specs on the V-Force belt for deflection. I hopefully will get the lowend back when I get my EPI clutch kit but it's still on backorder. Thanx

backfire is normally caused by a lean air screw. The airscrews are located on the bottom of the carbs by the float bowls. Their a gold colored flat screw in a recessed hole. Turn clockwise to lean it out and counterclockwise to richen. Turn them about a 1/4 turn at a time. try it then if not right another 1/4 turn til you get it right.

Help do you think it's the air screws I need to beat my old DS650, I need all the help I can get or do you think my jetting is on and I need to do something with the clutching. Although I don't think the slight backfiring when I get off the gas when I'm on it is normal is it, I mean it did'nt do that with the stock exhaust and jetting. Help guys. Thanx
