Help on black spring and mud lites KVF650
#1
I just went to the store to purchase black spring and they asked me if it is for the secondary or primary? I had no clue, also they told me that the same black spring fits all Kawis is that true? and how do the 26" Mud Lites with c series ITP work on the KVF 650. Thanks in advance for your great help !!

You NEED the Black Secondary Spring from EPI. It does NOT fit all Kawasaki products. It WILL make your quad run better with whatever tire set you decide to use.
My advice is to order the spring direct from EPI. Don't screw around with your local dealer. It's amazing how many of them don't keep up on the current mods being offered for the machines they sell. Mine was clueless.

The black spring is a secondary spring. Can't tell you whether or not it fits other quads.
That sounds like an awesome tire and wheel combo for the P650. Lots of people (myself included) put larger tires on to gain some ground clearance. With larger tires comes more weight. More weight equals less acceleration. If I could do it again, I would go with a 25 or 26" tire, and keep all the performance that I am now trying to get back.

Agreed, the black secondary is good, but, not without proper belt adjustment. The spring is useless with belt slop, so learn how to keep it adjusted right.
A friend put Mud Lites on a Honda 300 (Bayou I think) that made a new machine out of it. I watched his son crawl through mud that he couldn't get through as easily with his Rincon (crap Dunlops like the Prairie).
Just so you know, those C series are heavier than your stock alloy rims on the Prairie.
I have the C series and Bearclaws on mine. Great all around tire.
