Warn U2500 wiring, please help
Hi guys, I really need your help on this one. I bought a U2500 winch off E-Bay. Didn't realize that the switch comes mounted on the winch itself. I'm trying to move the switch to my front racks. Here is my dilema. I know that I feed the hot, #2 terminal on the switch from the (+)battery, and the negitive, #1 terminal on the switch from the( - )battery. Now, the switch, comes with 2 copper jumpers to go directly to the motor. I need to take these off so do I jump from the # 2 terminal to where the copper bar was? and the same for the #1 terminal.??
I'm very puzzeled and really need help. I've got all the holes drilled and can't leave it this way. Please advise me as how to wire this winch. Anyone?
Michael

From what I can tell you described exactly what you need to do. You just need to replace what use to be the copper bar from the switch to the winch. Replace it with what ever length of wire you need (depending on where you are mounting your switch). You will have to purchase the wire and ends seperately to match the same size wire the winch came with.
