Default Modifing the wifes V-force???

I want too Optimize the resting power in the V-force. I will keep the stock exhaust for now, but still think I can get this thing running alot better, by modifying the airbox and jetting accordingly. I may try modifying the stock exhaust later, too see what gains thier is in that can.

SO is thier anyone out thier that has modified the airbox(and HOW?) or running without the airbox lid all to gether, and what jets did you use after modifying??/ and last but NOT LEAST. was it worth your troubles?? how much difference did you see,and where??

Thanks,
Bigger.

A-HA!!!!!!

Didn't think that bike would stay stock for long. The poop is that lid removal causes too much turbulance and loss of power.

Shaneb and the guy from 12 hrs of america have a great thread going on kawiriders.com on the airbox mods. I am waiting to see if the Diamond G snorkel makes any diff. I want to get some pipes and the law of physics says more in to get more out!.

I am going to wait to see what the results are as there is always a way to get better breathing on any motor.

Airbox mods work. You can also get a little more by using the Twin air filter out of an 03 p650. It has to be the one for the 03 as the 02 wont work.

K&N doesnt make an 03 filter yet. I think when they realize the force and the 03 650 run the same filter they may get in gear and release one.

DO I need to jet-up after doing my air bow mods,IF I keep the stock exhaust?? It kind feels like its a little FAT(rich) right now to tell you the truth.

IF so, wht jets would be good, for sea level(I am at 1200 ft.)

I filled out K&N's form to get an E-mail response once they have released the filter for the V-Force. I'll post their reply as soon as I get it.

It depends on what you do to the airbox. It needs to be rejetted but what you do to it will tell you how much more jetting it needs.
