Default E Ton Viper 50 will not stay running

Hello all. I am new to ATV's. We bought my son a 05 E Ton Viper 50cc for xmas. He has put about 20hrs on it with no issues. Over the weekend we went to start it and it started fine. After about 20 to 30 seconds it died and would not restart. After sitting for a bit the same thing would happen again. The carb was rebuilt right before we bought it. Any help would be great thanks.

Welcome to the forums.
Clean the carb. It has something blocking the pilot jet. Remove and clean both jets.
Adding a inline fuel filter helps.
Gas is so crappy these days. I'd also use sta-bil or sea-foam so it don't get gummed up.

So does the carb have to come out for this? I have just tried to spray some cleaner into the carb and get the same results rune for a few seconds. There is a filter there it looks like. thanks for the help!

listen to LT80. he's rock solid and right on! the jets have to be removed to get a good cleaning.
use this video as a guide. although your carb may not be identical to the one in the video, the principal is the same. DO not use the drill to remove screws. you HAVE TO see daylight through the orifices and down the center of the jets.
