Default Doing away with oil tank and going premix?

I have 2 predator 50s. The previous owner of one went with premix fuel because he was worried about the oil mixer possibly failing. My other one still uses the mixer, but it’s running way too rich and I’m hoping it will just run better if I use the same pre mix of the other.

If I’m going to stop using the oil tank, do I need to do anything to the line so that it’s not sucking air?

I have done more reading, mostly Polaris 250's, but I think based on that info I can figure this out. I followed the line coming from the oil tank to what I think is the oil pump, and the line going from the pump to the carb. If I understand it correctly, that small line going into the carb can be removed. Cap the line and plug the port at the carb so it can't suck air. Does that sound correct? Attached picture shows the line that I believe carries the oil to the carb.

Also looked at my other one that has been running premix and it looks like the previous owner never did anything, just stopped filling the tank with oil so I'm probably going to cap that one as well if I'm correct about which line it is.
