Default Eton viper jr 2003 not running

I have 2003 viper jr that was giving me starting issues.... no spark initially. Changed out the ignition coil and it starts and runs perfectly as long as the red wire from the ignition coil is not attached.... but then none of the kill switches work. If I touch the red wires together (ignition coil to rev limiter) it will stop. Is this a short in the rev limiter or further up with the cdi box?

Update.... was messing with it again.. now it starts with both attached but no kill switches working still

Just checked the wiring diagrams for Vipers and none have a red wire from coil, never heard of a coil with a rev limiter on it, and none of the Vipers are shown with a red wire to coil, so I would guess the rev limiter is an aftermarket addition? Regarding the kill switches, the CDIs seem to be earth to run, so all switches are in series, disconnect any switch and the engine stops. I need to know the engine size to tell which diagram to follow, but smaller Vipers have a "remote" unit which may have been incorrectly disconnected, leading to the kill wire being earthed all the time. Other possibility is someone has fitted the more common "earth to kill" CDI and found it would only run with kill wire disconnected.
