E-ton 40cc 2-stroke
#1
My son has an e ton viper jr. 40cc pull start, to make a long story short, after replacing the coil and trigger module, i realized i only needed the cdi limiter box, which is a dis-continued part. It will intermitantly run if u just tweek the screw on the limiter (like it has an open spot inside) Runs great as long as it runs. Tried hooking the limiter wires together on the trigger harness, but will not run that way. How can I by-pass this, or is there anywhere i can find the limiter? The e-ton part num. is 700404. Wouldn't care to buy 1 if i could find it. Otherwise, need help! Thanks in advance.

@ jp jr re: eton viper 40cc pull start:
I have a wiring diagram of this quad, but unfortunately there just isn't enough info from that document alone for me to figure out how this ignition system is supposed to work. It is not the standard generic CDI style ignition system used on most quads. Problems with this style of eton ignition system have been posted here before, but no solutions that I know of have ever been posted. I've searched the internet for info on how this system works before and now and have come up empty.
I'm hoping that someone else will be emboldened by my ignorance and post any little bit of info they happen to know. Knowledge can accumulate and get sorted out over time with just tidbits of knowledge/experience from a variety of sources. It is worth a try.
Sorry I can't be of more help...
