My son is asking for more top end on his LT80, he can't keep up with his buddy's Honda TRX90 on smooth flat roads. I was thinking about putting on a smaller rear sprocket, but from what I can find 22 teeth is stock and the aftermarket only makes 22 teeth and greater. Taller tires are a possibility, but would make it more tippy. Any way to make it rev higher to get more top speed?

 

Can you get a bigger front sprocket? that will get your top end up,and it is easier than putting a rear sprocket in. You can change out springs in the rear clutch to raise the engagement and make it rev more on top, look up a guy that goes by LT80 on this forum, he races and modifies LT80s, some of his have been clocked at 50mph,from what I've heard, that should put that trx 90 in it's place !!!
