I was looking for a way to install hand holds for the kids when they are riding in front. I stumbled across an item geared towards snowmobilers that worked very well. Since the bar is really flexible rubber with a steel cable inside, it is rigid enough for the kids to hold onto with out my having to worry about them bumping into a steel bar should I need to stop suddenly.

That looks like a good idea.

I wonder....Is this bar sold with the disclaimer that it's only to be used to assist in getting on and off the quad while parked? Kinda like those rear storage boxes with the build-in seats.

Not sure what the bar is used for. It's sold as a Snowmobile accessory. They are refered to as power bars, or rainbow bars. You supposedly pull up on them to controll the sled in deep powder.
