What is the most powerful 2 stroke engine for a quad under 100cc that is already in a quad? Which one responds best to mods?

stock, I feel most of the mini motors are close in power. To mod, the LT is cheaper because there is no need to buy a pipe or carb.
The ancient LT is still the one to beat.

Tell us more LT I'm sure by next Saturday I will own either the predator or kfx 80. My nephew has a honda 90 that is stock. I am sure my daughter will be bursting at the seams wanting to race him. Should she be able to take him on either? What are these cheap mods you speak of for the 80? How much difference will they make?

Can you tell me why the ancient LT is the one to beat? Is it just because of the cluth difference or is there more than that? Thanks!

I say it like that cuz the GNC race results back me up. Please don't get me wrong, the others are right there.
I feel that the LT is the cheaper to modify. (no pipe or carb to buy)

I thought that you were comparing the old LT to the new LT. I did not realize you meant in comparison to other atv's. I too believe that the LT80 is the one to beat. I thought that you meant that there was a difference in the early LT80's and the later LT80's. I was aware of the clutch difference, I was just asking if there was more than that. Just looking for any extras that I can do to give my little guy an edge you know!

THE LT80/KFX80(WHICH ARE THE SAME) WITHOUT A DOUBT, CHEAPER TO MOD, GET PARTS AT ANY SUZ OR KAWI DEALER. IVE HAD SOME OF THE TAIWANESE QUADS AND THEIR ARE SOME DEPENDABILITY PROBLEMS. ALSO IF YOUR LITTLE RIDER IS TOO BIG FOR THE CRAMPED LT80(ITS A SMALLER SIZE QUADTHAN MOST 80/90'S) I WOULD GO WITH THE TRX90. RELIABLE 4-STROKE ENGINE, AND WILL LAST ALMOST FOREVER AS WILL THE "LT80".

Rawdawg, I agree 100%, my boys race a lt and a honda. Suzuki and honda dealer right down the road, my larger boy is on the honda, would have destoryed the lt within days, the only thing is my bigger son gets really upset because the 4 stroke just cant keep up with the 2 strokes ( without cheating- are rules around here cant go over 90cc) But i just try to remind him because of his size he will be on a real quad way before his brother.
