Just got the top end done on my daughter's LT80 and took her out for the first time on Saturday - this was her surprise Christmas present. The little quad ran great and she loved it, but after she took a break it wouldn't start again. I could hear the starter spinning and ocassionally a "clunking" noise, but it wouldn't turn over. I don't think the starter itself is the problem, but it might be the gear that connects it to the motor. Anyone have an experience like this before? Or a solution?

I've seen this twice.Once it was a bad starter, the other was a bike that sat forever. The later needed a lil lube sprayed in the end of the starter gear. It then would engage, not just spin.
