Default yamaha 4 zinger

Hey im a new fish to this forum, Just bought the 4 zinger for my 4 yr old. was wondering if anyone out there had one for some comparison Questions. Kinda gutless. Seems to have carberation problems. I was wondering if maybee its getting to much oil through the oil injection system. Plug gets caked with oil fairly quikly and smokes like all hell. I dont expect it to pull like my shee, just seems like it getting enough fuel, its almost bogging

There is something very wrong somewhere!! The little Zinger probably has the best power to weight ratio of any bike ever made. My kids started out on the little 2-stroke. My son still loves to ride it, and the little bike just plain rips.

well I took the exhaust pipe off to see if there was a restricter in there. There was not one in there but what I did find was the fix I was looking for. The carbon build up in there was outragous. I got a screw driver in there and a little panther **** and started to dig that crap out. I swear, the opening for the exhaust was no bigger than the width of a nickle. After 10 min of cleaning I could see the piston at about the 3/4 of an in. Put little bubba on there and told him to give all the gas it had, holy toledo almost ripped his hands off the bars. THat little zinger shreds. I cant believe how big of a difference. I wonder if the oil pump was pushing to much oil causing the build up. I'm running 32 to 1 oil mix right now with the pump bypassed. any suggestion about how to permanently bypass the pump. I have a screw in it right now[ the hose that goes to the carb] and a plug on the carb itself. I would venture to say that little zinger will do 20 miles per hour, and thats guessing on the slow side. I had removed the throttle restricter screw, im now on a quest to find it. I thank everyone for the help.

Glad to hear you got your Zinger, Zinging. My daughter has a zinger and races it in Motocross. Does anybody know of an outlet for aftermarket equipment i.e. pipes, ... Shes not big enough for a 90, but she's pushing her 60 to the limit. Thanks!

maybe you were the first one to clean that carbon. Plus, maybe crappy 2-stroke oil. I like leaving injection hooked up, more oil when it needs it, and less when it doesn't, and no mixing.Plus I figure the manufacturer musta known something when they designed it.

Now that you've cleaned it, try draining old oil, add a good synthetic, and see how your plug looks. I just posted about sooty plug for my LT80, and this is how I plan to try and fix it before I run pre-mix. People here told me to make sure it's INJECTOR oil, and not just 2-stroke oil.

I'll let ya know how mine works out.
