Smile 125 ml

Thanks for this. 125 fit nicely on the fill line. I think you are right, a tad more would be suitable.

Default Clutch gear

We are having trouble keeping the gear nut on the end of the shaft holding the clutch in place from coming loose. I tried using thread lock but still did not hold. I understand there are different strengths to this substance. Maybe a stronger strength could help. Any suggestions.

Loctite won't hold this nut. Need sleeve retainer. We used Wurth brand products, but I'm sure this should work also. Takes plenty of heat from a heat gun or torch to help break the nut loose when set.Permatex 64000 - High Temperature Sleeve Retainer | O'Reilly Auto Parts Loctite does make a similar product but expensive. Smaller tubes may be available at area auto stores.https://www.zoro.com/loctite-retaini...Q&gclsrc=aw.ds

Thanks. That should solve that problem. Another issue is the clips that holds the links to the shoes keep slipping off. There must be a better way to keep the links from falling apart.

Make sure you have the closed end of the clip facing the way the engine turns or the clips can sling off. Plus wouldn't hurt to use a little loctite on them and see if it helps.

Default basket

The basket in the clutch assembly has a lot of play, that is to say is quite loose. I am wondering if this is a serious problem. It does not make contact with anything. I am sure when the shoes make contact and the vehicle is moving it would be stable. Any thoughts here.

Thanks.

If it's back and forth play there is supposed to be a washer behind the basket. If the whole basket is wobbly, then the brass bushing has worn out.Not sure if one is even available for this. You might look through the S5 and S6 engine parts.Morini Franco USA

Default basket

I will have a look at the basket and check for washers and the state of the bushing.

Thanks.

Default ignition kit for cayman

I am having trouble getting a spark with this replacement ignition kit.I seem to get a voltage from the stator and flywheel so I am presuming that means the primary circuit is okay. But there is only a faint voltage at the plug. I am wondering if the main wire going to the plug is faulty or is the secondary coil faulty. I have limited knowledge of the system. I hoping this coil is okay as I had it delivered back at the end of March and have just got around to installing this kit. I believe it is installed correctly. ay suggestions would be helpful.
