Default LT80 year/colors?

I'm going to look at an LT80 that's advertised locally. The guys said he wasn't sure on the year, but didn't think it was anymore than 5 years old - he's the second owner. He said it's got a blue frame with white plastic and a yellow seat. Anyone know what years had that color combo? He's asking $1100 for it and says it's barely been ridden - he's selling for the same reason the orginal owner did, the kids just didn't ride it enough... What do you all think?

lt 80s are great quads. My buddy has had one since he was like 5 or 6 and it is a great machine. It was the first quad i rode when i was little. Thats when i started really wanting a quad. They are great for kids because they can be hooked up and its not expensive.

there's a sticker on the frame in the front, left side if your on the bike, look under fender it'll say serial# & model letter ,I have a J=87,& K=89 THE'90 is L model, the dealer should know from model ,or you could go to world of powersports.com, go to atv parts, keep typin years 'till it matches model. hope this helps

It may have the year on that sticker also.
I do know that 1993-1995's were yellow/white (I have some of those). Maybe other years also.
The year really don't matter anyways. They are tough.

you really cant go buy the colors on the quad because
some one can change it. So best bet is to look at the serial # like
QUADNUTT said. IF there is no serial # read what the pink slip says.

just a suggestion, look at the tires for wear. if it hasn't been ridden, they should be new. I agree with others on VIN#. Also, my '93 looks the same as what you're describing. AND, you may want to consider a compression test which will reveal the true condition of engine. $1100 for that year seems like a steep price.

Well, I bought it!

Turns out it's a 92 model. Still has the original tires it appears with about 50% tread. Appears to have been well taken care of - I can't find a single thing wrong with it and boy does it run strong. I was really impressed with the power for an 80cc. I really governed it down for my girls to start of with. They are itching to go ride but I told them not until I find them a helmet.

I stopped by a dealer on the way to look at it that had a 95 model that wasn't as nice as this one and they were asking almost $1500 for it. I was please to get this one for less than the asking price.
