Try it!
I feel that this will help with low end. Whether a stock LT needs more low is another thing.
Please let us know the results!

Yup i realize that it will increase low end torque, its a 2004 i opened the reed cage abit an put some boyseen reeds in the cage. It helped but it just seems abit lazy when ya first punch the throttle. So i thought put a reed spacer in that should help an if i do a clutch mod then it should really take off faster an i could compensate the new found torque with a taller front sprocket. I don't really want to tear the engine down just yet as to theres just 30 or 40 hrs on it so far think i'll wait till a piston is needed an do some port work at that time. But i did get a spacer built for it, its gotta go to the shop an get milled now i started with a none flat peice about 12mm thick, i should have it up an runnin by the weekend no problems an i'll fill ya all in on what i learn from it.

Ok heres the deal with the reed spacer, i cut it 3/8's thick installed it, bit of trouble with the air box neck i didn't wanna cut it shorter till i seen what the engine was gonna ack like. But i got it all hooked up an its works good the motor always has a bit of lag when u first punch it, well its still got the lag when u hit it but when it wakes up its seems to wake a bit harder. What i do need to do is play with the jets in the carb seems to be jetted kinda fat, i burn yamahalube still using the injector mind ya, everything is stock except for the reed cage i ported it, fiber reeds an the spacer now. I'm looking for a good used DG pipe i realize its not gonna make a real difference but the boy likes the noise that they make so what ever i say . I'm thinkin on the weekend maybe i'll lighten the rollers in the front clutch i'm thinkin i'll weigh 4 of them an drill all 6 to the weight of 4 is that a good idea or should i just lose 2 of them. If i shave .020 off the head what affect on octane in my fuel will that have will i still be able to use 94 octane pump gas well thats all i got on the reed spacer for now it seems to pull abit harder but not a great deal really but every little bit helps

4 or 6 rollers: 6 drilled to 3/8" is equall to 4 stock (40 grams). Try a letter T drill. This will make 43 grams of roller weight.
Take .030 off the head. You won't have any octane problems.
