I have been wanting to buy ATV's for my 2 kids for some time now. I was reading the newspaper this morning and came across this ad.

"2000 Etons 50 & 90cc exc. cond $1600 for both. Will seperate".

I don't need the latest and greatest. Just clean reliable machines to get the whole family out on the trails.

90cc would be for my 9 y.o son (Be 10 in November). 5 feet tall, 115 lbs.

50cc would be for my 7 y.o. daughter. 4' 5" tall, 70 lbs.

Advise? Opinions?

 

your daughter might be a bit much for the 50 but take them over there and set them on them.

 

Sounds like a good deal. I have a 30lb girl 6yrs old and a 8 yr old that is 62lbs on a viper 90. never riden, had it down in 30 mins, and now go up and down sand hills with no problems. and know how to use the brakes in emergency situations. They love it and has enough power for me to have fun on it too.

I had my first dune experience ever just this last weekend. My buddies took me to Winchester bay and South Jetty. 5 guys in a Ford Expedition with trailer full of toys. Good times!

Canby is a very nice little town. We spent 8 years in the Greater Portland area. 3 yrs Tualatin, 3 in Wilsonville and 2 in Newberg.

i got an e-ton lightning when i was 15 years old. it has served me well, and taken quite much for dragging 130 pounds of flesh. i even put a little hitch on the thing and it totes things around the yard quite well. the frames on etons seem to be the same for 50s and ninetys, so don't be surprised if the only difference in the size is the tires. i personally, have not had good up keep with my two stroke, so beware. the engine floods so easily, and mine has had a past of not starting for no apparent reason. the speed is great on the little fifty, though. at my weight i can even catch air occasionally!
