I want to put new handlebars on my daughters 03 Skyhawk 90..What is everyone replacing stock bars with??? Also I want to remove the kill switch and lame tether on the left bar and replace with a pro-tether..How complicated is this and what is involved??[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

I have used small motorcycle handle bars before. The work ok, but are different in bend and height. The last set I bought was for our LT80. I used bars for a cr80 and cut about 3" off each end. They don't angle back as much as the stockers, and they are not as tall, but it has seemed to give a more aggresive rider stance when standing up.

 

I just put a pro-design tether on my boys viper yesterday , it was easy just followed the instructions.I'd also like to change the bars just haven't yet.

 

Pro Sport Mini Bend Aluminum handlebars are what we use. They are a Nichols brand. I think all mini bend handlebars are pretty much the same no matter who makes them. Most cycle shops will have them or can order them for you. Pro design kill switch is the best way to go.

Many of the handlebar companies make mini atv and mini motorcycle bend bars. Factory 909 I believe makes some, as to others.

 

Pro design is probably the best affordable kill switch. There are better ones out there, but they come at a very high price.

 

Fly bars are fine. Pro design is the best for the money as others have said.
