LT80 Cylinder full of gas
I searched through the forums here and found that the likely culprit is a faluty petcock. My question is can I rebuild it effectively or is it worth it to just get a new one. I have no idea what year the LT80 is so does anyone know if the petcock was the same on all years? Also, any leads on where to get a petcock would be helpful. I found one on eFence (ebay) for around $50 but there is still a few days to go and I need it now.

FYI::
There was a lenghty thread on this. maybe you could find it. Good info.
Basically what is happening here is the petcock is bad and the hydraulic weight of the fuel is pushing thru the needle.
This happens on any other machine, that's why there are on/off positions. The LT80's petcock is vaccum operated and on is off when the motor is not running, thus having a weak spot.

Thanks for the help guys. Just an update: I ordered a new Banshee petcock and carburetor rebuild kit, should get them next week. I also ordered the blocking plate for the oil injector so I can remove it. The injector hasn't worked in a while and I have been running pre-mix in it any way. Besides I ride a 1999 YZ 250 so pre-mix isn't a problem. Riding season is coming on strong here in Southern California and my daughter is bugging the crap outa me to get her beloved LT80 fixed. Thanks again for the help.
