ports on LT80
#1
i bought another jug an head off e-bay for my boys LT80 recently, heads been shaved 30thou thats a bonus i didn't realize that when i bought it jug is std. bore still, i have next size piston for it already so i had it bored not final honed thou, i was looking at the ports on it the exhaust port looks kinda stupid in there small an turns to the left, an the other ports are all mis-matched pourly, i was thinkin of cuttin them clean an opening them up some anyone have any ideas what works well here, i don't need a race machine nowhere to race here in ontario anyways, but to spice it up alittle would be great thx.

You can raise the ports about 1-2mm, widen the exhaust about 3mm per side. Open the exhaust runner up. And just try to blend everything else together. I would consider this to be a very mild port job, but one that works fairly well. (and fairly easy to do)

That also sounds ike good advice. I would only suggest 1mm raise on the exhaust for a mild job, but the 3mm widen on each side is nice. Try to straighten up that nasty angle coming out of the exhaust port as much as you can.

Ok thanks guys i'll give it a try an see how we like it after its back together, hey bubba where u get them rims an tires on the LT80 they look good alot better then stockers. Looks like a nice polish on them do the wider rears help much over the narrow stock ones i find my boys to sway alot i turnt the rims around helped alot, i made some wideners for the front also that helped alot also would still like to widen it abit more inthe front thou i only gained 3 full inches. Well thanks again guys talk to ya's later.
