1 what is the cost of lt80s engine kit?

2 what is the best pipe for a stock motor for basic riding and some hills?

3 is the front suspension "long travel kit" at midwestmini.com worth the cost?

4 at midwest mini there is a wheel spacer kit "wide ride" is that kit durable?

I"m also looking into some of this stuff.

First off, I would strongly suggest you do a SEARCH for LT80 and read through the many topics pertaining to them. There is a ton of good info on here, and will pretty much answer all your questions.

But after reading on here forever, I've heard many times that you can't get much better than the stock pipe that comes on the LT80.

the guy on here named LT80 is a great source. I don't think you'll find anybody more respected and knowledgable on these great lil machines. A wealth of info and experience he is.

Good Luck

I wouldn't say tough crowd just rather that you will probably get more replies by monday, as a lot of us are busy on the weekends.
First off what year is your 80? Second what type of riding will it be used for? third I would definatly recomend searching old threads, some times people get tired of answering the same questions over and over again, but thats not your problem. For a price on a 80 engine kit pm lt80 and ask him.

My sons LT does great at climbing hills. We have the FmF pipe and it does quite well it seemed to help on power some. I also don't think it's all that loud. It amazes me at the hills it will climb. We just recently removed the stock chain and sprockets and went with lighter sprockets and a #40 chain with 428 sprockets. We also went with a 2.00 gearing ratio in an attempt to increase top speed. I think that this really helped. My only complaint with this bike is top speed. But you can't really expect too much speed out of a mini. I've got the "wide ride" kit from midwest mini and it seems really durable so far.

As far as pipes goes, I think you need to forsee where you will be going with your quad. If stock is where your going to stay, (or anything short of full race modding) then the FMF is a good choice. If you'll be modding, lt80's kit or someone elses's equall, than the stock, or some other pipes might be a good choice. Despite alot of good peoples opinions, I have NOT had good results with our stock pipe on our slightly modded LT. Granted, I do not have a wheel dyno, and ours is not fully race ported, but we have run against alot of other LT's with almost every other pipe and engine combo, and have not seen anything except factory sponsired quads, (Non of which were Suzuki's) that just flat out smoked us at the races. Ours was not built for racing. Ours was built for trail riding, power on hills has not been an issue for us. Traction has always been the problem.

Well I had mine big bored and it ran like a turtle until Jack (Lt80) worked on it. My 110 # kid can go up any hill at the dunes. Very impressive. I put the ct pipe on mine because I wanted more top end than bottom. We don't race ours at the track we just dune....Just click on ...more... if you want more information on kits..have fun
