Default automatic tranny help for midwest bobcat 50

I bought this used for my 6 year olds first quad, and I don't have any type of manual for it.I took her out yesterday for her first time in the trails, until then all her riding was in the yard getting used to it.I noticed any time she stopped on any type of incline or any type of rut or root it did'nt have enough power to take off on it's own.Someone would have to give her a little push.If she kept her momentum up she did'nt have problems making it up hills and grades, just when she took off from a dead start. I'm just wondering where to start looking. She weighs less than 50 pounds so this thing should be able to pull off on it's own power easily.I could'nt tell if the revs weren't coming up enough or if the clutch needs adjusting(if it can be) or replaced.Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

What irritates me is!
Those 6-packs work pretty good.

Is this a single speed transmission? If so, that's the problem.

You'd pretty much be stuck to motor mods or a gearing change. You might contact your dealer for ideas.

Yea I forgot to mention it's a two stroke single speed automatic.I just figured it should have enough power to take off on it's own.I'm in the process of trying to locate the closest dealer.Already thought about a gearing change, may look at that if I can't come up with anything else.

Thanks

Default automatic tranny help for midwest bobcat 50

hello there i had 2 of the bob cat 50cc and i had the same problem with both of them. there is a carb restricter and that is it. and it didnt help much. there is not any mods for the bobcat 50. but they are cheap to buy parts for. i went to yahoo search and typed in midwest bobcat 50 and found the importer and bought a fan kit and rebuild kit all under 100.00 that s cyl, piston, and gaskets. but we sold both of them and went with a e-ton there much more powerful. i got $650.00 each out of both 1999 bobcats
hope i helped

The importer is Midwest Motor Vehicles. If you go to their website (midwestmv.com), you'll find their phone number. Maybe they'll be able to help you out.
