Arctic Cat 90 Stator Output?
The third position is for the tail light. They did not come with a headlight. We have a 2004 model and are having great difficulties in starting it. On the New Cat 90 carb problems forum we found others with problems and we wondered if the 2002 model also had difficulty starting and idling in cold weather?

Arctic Cat 90 Stator Output?
I don't know the AC 90's stator "power generation output" numbers, but here's some ideas on how to obtain it:
1 - Purchase a Digital Meter. They are usually between $18.00 -> $28.00 at your local automotive hardware type store. For a picture of our tool, surf: - Press Here -
2 - Second step is to learn how to use the 12V side of your new tool. For details, surf: - Press Here -
3 - Give it a try.... Start your AC-90 unit and let its engine warm up. After warmed up, disconnect the battery and ensure the live wire isn't resting on the frame. If necessary, please a little cardboard under it - as a resting pad. Also ensure the tail of your AC-90 unit is jacked up. By using the tool from step 1 (set on 12DC testing) and your detailed instructions in step 2, obtain the meter readings across your black "-" and red "+" wires. Start with engine running at idle take a meter reading. Then, rev it up to 1/2 throttle very slowly and take another reading. From the WATT output numbers going into the battery, divide by 2. The divided number is your "on average" max watt of light bulb(s). This way, your front lights will work and your battery can still charge at the same time.
NOTE: I haven't tried these above steps myself. But from a white board perspective, these steps should work.
Hope this helps...
