These quads are more or less all the same. There is a korean plant producing the basic machines and smaller companies are adding a name and plastic configurations..They are supprisingly well made machines.I will bet that Will 67 has problems with a cold start becouse
his Yamoto isn't jetted correctly.

Yamapower, I believe you're correct on the fact that they are all roughly the same. The GPX has been a good machine. On the Yamoto cold starts, I had Yamoto send me a new carb and it fixed the problem. Surely they are all jetted the same from the factory. I'm certain the auto choke was not functional on the original. Either way its a known fact that for the price, one should expect these things I guess. So far, the dealer has been outstanding in helping correct the problems and I can't complain.

Only problem we have had so far is the choke cable outer housing wasn't fully seated at the carb and didn't work properly. Not a huge deal but might be a problem for the not mechanically inclined. Had to richen it up as it is in the 20's here. Also ran first tank with 32:1 mix in case any air in oil injection system. Price has gone up since we got ours at X-mas. We went with 2-stroke as we want to race. If only trail riding I would look at 4-stroke machines. IMHO 2-strokes our on the way out due to regulations and demographics. Like the rear foot and hand brake. Foot brake lever is way to high so shortened and re-welded ours. Might not be an issue trail riding but not natural feel for racing as kids have to lift foot off peg/runnig board to much instead of rotating foot. I got a chain tensioner from Unison in California for less then $25.00, a must have bolt on. Ours didn't come with reverse, was offered as an option. Don't need it for racing but still thinking of getting one. Didn't look like much to install/remove for racing/trail riding. Unison will have electric actuator on theirs next year instead of manual lever. May wait for this as not sure if electric will be interchageable for manual lever. IMHO the shocks/springs are way to stiff. We are getting a set of Works shocks. Can't believe it would be hard for manufactures to wind some softer springs for these.
