Default Dinli Performance issue

Looking to get a little more ponies out of my daughters Diamondback 90. I originally thought she would out run her cousin's Raptor 80, not the case. I've been to Maximum-RPM, I seen the exhaust I want but no air filter for the stock carb. Is there an aftermarket one or do I have to upgrade the carb and filter together?

OR, better yet, WRH racing.com ask for Billy
Don't get that maximum pipe.
If your looking for performance from a pipe and carb, your looking in the wrong spot anyways IMO.

Foster, I use to live i Littlerock. ANyway, The pipe's you can get from maximum-rpm were not designed for the stock carb in mind. Really not any of the pipes out there that are good pipes run very well with a stock carb. ANyway, At the minimum you will need a new carb 24mm, air filter ( I like Uni), a pipe (Billy put the Koso on Koty's new engine, we were running the Ex-pipe), clutch springs to 2K rpm, stiffer torque spring, 16 tooth front sprocket and rollers in the 5.0 gram range. Maybe lower. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the help. I'll give Billy at WRH a call and check out Hetrick's site. I was under the impression Hetrick specialized on Kasea and Eton's.

Well, Rich has been doing Kasea's for awhile. He has two Dinli's at the Nationals this year.

Are you pretty happy with your Dinli? I wished I'd taken a look at them prior to buying my son's Sportsman 90. I always have some buyers remorse. Anyway...how much did you pick it up for? I've emailed Dinli and they won't send me a price listing. I may keep this 90 for a year and then sell. We'll see.

Dinli will not sell direct to you. They will direct you to a dealer. Calling there 1-800 number will work better than e-mail for that.

Hey Tommy how complicated is it to install a clutch kit from Billy @ WRH? We talked about some things for me to do first, which one of the things was the clutch kit.

Psycmike... As far as price in So. Cal, the price is $1895.00. Maybe high, maybe low, but I like the Dinli mini over the Yamaha and Honda minis.

If all you are concerned about is out running the Yamaha, then get a 16 tooth front sprocket. The clutch kit will take you about two hours to complete if you have never done one. In So Cal I would see if someone is willing to come over for a beer or two and look over your shoulder to make sure you are doing it right.
