Default carb problems

Anyone know what screws to adjust on a 70cc Venom to bring the idle up a little? I just got it home, and running, but it won't stay running. If I give it a little gas she stays going, so I think I only need to adjust the idle up a little. I can take pictures and post them if it will help.

.

I'm not too sure where the idle screw is on your mini. As a suggestion, find all the external screws on your carb. Start your mini and if necesary, have someone hold the throttle to make it idle properly. With each carb adjustment screw, turn it "in" only 1/4 turn. Then, have the person let go of the throttle to see if it will idle properly. If idling doesn't change, turn the screw back 1/4 turn. Try doing the same thing to the other external adjustment screws you find. Once you run out of external turns, repeat the same cycle except turn each one 1/4 turn outwards. If no change, remember to turn the same screw back in 1/4 turn before trying the other external screw. The idle is the most common screw that is adjusted. Thus, it will be an external screw "on the carb chamber" or on the fipper assembly pin. Either or. If no luck, then you may have to post a picture(s) for us to see.

Hope this idea helps...

The idle screw should be inline with the slide. It's usually the larger of the two screws so that you can adjust it with your fingers. The air screw is usually harder to get to and you need a small screwdriver.

Worked great, thanks. Turning it 1/4 turns didn't do much, it took a few turns to get it in the right spot, but I finally got it.
