Novice atv riders and owners.Bought my son a 04 viper for x-mas we had it out today and he rode into a pretty deep puddle of water the viper stalled we pulled it out would not start again.let it sit for about 2 hours tried starting again started as long as you hold the throttle will not idle,and it wont move at all even with throttle wide open. any idea's on what has happened and the fix. would greatly appreciate any help

You should clean the air filter for sure. You might also have water in the trans. if you take the black cover off on the left side , our 90 has a filter in the front and a hole in the back. You might have to set it on its side to get any water out, if you have any.

 

Yes I agree for the air filter and transmision but also try to spray
contact spray in all elect. conections also check muffler for water.
