Default Help w/ E-ton

My E-ton wont crank w/ the electric start. The battery has plenty of juice, so I'm scared the starter has gone out. It makes a slight clicking noise when you use the start button, but wont turn over the moter. Good think I can still kick it off, but thats hard for mom and my sis, the two ppl who ride it.

Any suggestions, advice?

I am not sure what the problem with them is, but I just buy a new battery every year. Our's does the samer thing. Changing the battery seems to help.

Mine did something similar when the battery was shot. Might steal one off the other quad to test it. Or jumpers might work. Be the first place I'd start.

You say the battery has plenty of juice, how much does it have?Should be seeing around 13 volts with a volt meter.Don't just assume the battery is no good.Ours is on its 3rd year now and still has the original battery and it sits all winter in the cold Canadian climate. To test your starter hook up to a known good battery and then try it.

When I stuck my meter leads to the batt. I got about 12.2 volts. That was the first think I checked. Thats why I think its the starter, it just clicks when you try to start it. This is the first thing that has given me any trouble. I guess ill be taking it in to get fixed.

12.2 is probubly not enough. my ktm needs 13.2 minimum and so does my yamoto try charging it with a battery charger to bring it up a bit.
