Battery (charge) Life??
.
The original battery in our '03 Pred-90 won't hold a charge either. I can charge it with a trickle charger, my son drives it for 3 hours (NO lights) and the battery is near dead. A few times, I fully charged, disconnected its negative wire and 5 days later, it didn't even have enough "stored juice" to wheel its starter over. Sounds like your original battery is the same. But do fully charge, disconnect the negative wire and try a few days later. If it won't store juice (like our original battery), then its cooked too.
Hope this helps...

Battery (charge) Life??
Nope, just a 12 volt motorcycle battery from walmart. You might try taking some measurements but mine is probably about 2" taller than stock. About the same depth and width. They had a copuple different kinds. I had to relocate mine for my pipe anyway. So it was no big deal.
If nothing else, I bet you'd be able to mail order one for less than dealer cost.
