Default Kazuma 250 overheating.

I just bought a Kazuma 250 that is liquid cooled and it is over heating. It is brand new and I have checked to be sure all the fluids are full. The fan does come on but after a few minutes of riding the red light comes on. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do they have a water pump? Thanks for any help.

I had one and I had to "burp it". There was an air pocket in the lines. Also, I heard the lights are faulty on some units. Unless yours was actually bubbling over.

Thanks. It is not bubbling over and when I unplug the sensor wire the light goes out. Do you know what the sensor should measure with a meter?

I'm sorry I dont know what it should read with a meter. My guess is though that your red and green light sensor is bad.

I would also suggest (like someone else suggested in another post) that when the fan kicks on that the air from the fan is blowing towards you and not towards the front of the ATV. This will make the unit over heat. If the fan is blowing the wrong way you would have to switch the wires around that are plug into the rad on the right side. When I say the right side this is the right side if your sitting on the ATV. Hope this helps!

Thanks. The fan is behind the radiator and it is sucking air across the radiator instead of blowing toward the front. I will try to swap the wires and see what happens, but won't this conflict with the natural air flow when the bike is moving?
This is the first time I've been on a forum like this, it's kind of nice to have other people to bounce stuff off of.

I never got the chance to find out. I tried to burp it again and when I took it out for a test drive the brakes locked up and the muffler broke.
I just got it back from the shop and they promised it never got hot on them at all, but guess what, the very first time I got on it the light came on again.
This time I got a good look and kind of think the light is just coming on a little premature. It was not boiling out of the radiator. I would love to know what the value of the sensor should be at different temps. I think I'm going to pursue the sensor next.
