What year is the Viper? They are generally great little bikes in stock form but the 05s had a bit of trouble with the spark arrestor plugging up.You might want to keep an eye on it or get rid of it altogether..The bike will lose power big time when it plugs up...Aftermarket shocks are a great upgrade for any mini.

Similar problem maybe???

My son's Eton Viper 90 is giving us problems. We were riding around in the rain and mud (not deep) earlier this week and everything was great for about an hour. It then started boggong down to where is would not move under throttle. With the chock on it runs fine, which I imagine it shouldn't when it is warm. We gave it a good cleaning and changed the air filter but it has not solved the issue.

Could this be the spark arrestor, or is it more likely to be the carb or electricals?

Any help would be appreciated. I have a copy of the service manual in pdf I can e-mail someone if interested.

Thanks,

Tony

I'd say to clean the carb real good and put a new plug in. Ours use to do the same thing when it was stock.

I'd agree with Newnick, Check plug first , aircleaner, sparkplug boot for water, etc.
