I'm in Calgary and the CTC I bought from (the only one in town that had them in stock) would only sell it in the crate and informed me that they do not service them. Most if not all the other stores take a much more customer service approach.

The two we bought were both in the crates. The CTC we bought ours from told me that they came in the crate but for an additional service charge they would uncrate them and assemble them. For the little work it took, I chose to do it myself. I have spoken with Baja a couple of times and they seem okay, their folks that you speak with in customer service do not seem technically inclined and are not well versed on the Baja90s. I asked for a local authorized service rep here in town and then I called them. They told me that they have had a few in their shop but for nothing major. Initially they had some difficulty getting parts into Canada but apparently this has been rectified. As I suggested earlier, this forum would be a great place to keep others informed of our concerns, issues, dealings with Baja, etc., so I am giving my latest info.

Calgary and area. CTC won't touch Baja. I asked Baja every time where I can find a parts depot or service rep in the area. Every time they said there are 1000 in North America and not once did they ever give me the phone number of anyone. Maybe there are service reps in Canada. But I haven't got a name or phone number out of Baja yet. They sure don't post any on their website. They don't even post any American service reps on their website. They claimed they were setting up agreements for a parts depot in Canada, but they can't seem to find a name or phone number for that either. If you have names and phone numbers in Canada I sure would like to get them from you. Then I'll contact Baja and ask them to list them on their website. CTC would like to get that information too and would gladly share it. So if you have information please share.
Strange how many people have had to contact Baja within the first few days of owning their machines. I've never had to do that with anything else I've bought.

MrRescue. You say the early machines had troubles, why do you think those problems have been resolved? I hope you are right about this rotten little machine and it somehow runs okay from now on. But I'm not holding my breath. As for Renee, I don't know how many people they have at Baja but that is one I haven't spoke with yet, though I have got nothing useful out of 4 others. I'll give Renee a try too.

Bozzy: You are in Dayton Ohio? You probably don't get the Canadian Model there. I can't tell you what the difference is, but Baja confirmed there are 2 different models. One for the USA and another for Canada. Does anyone know the difference? It is the Canadian Model they can't seem to get parts for. I can't speak for the US model other than the part I need is not interchangable.

Why won't you let everyone know what store you bought it from??? Whats the store # they all have them. That way others won't incounter the troubles you have.
You have been kinda vague in your previous posts on just what is wrong with the quad and what part(s) it needs.
Maybe if you could tell us what you need someone on the forum here can direct you to a place the has the parts.

I think the only difference between the cdn model and the usa model is the speedometer dont think the usa model came with one i was told because of the quebec laws for atv's they had to put speedometers on them so i beleave all the newest one sent to canada have speedometers and the earlier models didnt have them...

The CT store here in Halifax does service them I was told when I purchased mine.So far no troubles with the quad only a slight wobble in the right rear tire which was shipped that way.I"ll have to see how CT or Baja handles this when I ask for a replacement rim this week from the CT store that services them.

BBB, all I did was ask the girl at Baja that I spoke with (did not get her name) and she gave me the service center info. My local service center is in Hamilton, Ontario, won't be of much help to you. Don't know any other reason that they won't give you a name other than there may not be one in your area. Are you located in a major metropolitan area or in the 'boonies'? I was told by CTC that the way the parts delivery issue was resolved was as follows: instead of shipping individuals parts to individuals, they have contracted with FedEx to bulk ship parts into Canada then FedEx breaks up the shipment into individual shipments. I gather the issue with parts was getting them thru customs individually, no consistency. From what I understand they try to stock necessary parts in Arizona but sometimes have to go overseas to get them (China I believe). The speedo sensor I broke is coming from China. I will let everyone know how long it takes to get it once it arrives.
As for the number of people contacting Baja early on in ownership, I don't think it is as bad as you think. Apparently you had a significant issue with your unit that was not resolved in a timely manner (could you be more specific aboout the problem please, this forum is a means to communicate and learn and without details we can't help each other). I can't speak for others, but for myself, the reasons I called were minor: broken speedo sensor (as I stated before, I broke this), decal on front fender, what type of grease to use when lubricating, etc.
Best of luck,
