Baja 90cc

I did it! No governor. on my CDI box there is a green housed dual screw connector. In other words it has a chromed piece of conducting metal which makes the circuit between the two screws. When the connecter was removed it allowed the quad to be unlimited or at least governed less and it now can keep up with a friends Baja Dirt Runner 90cc on the road going about what feels like 45mph. (I know it's not going quite THAT fast.)

I don't know what you were using to record the speed(probably stock speedometer) but there is no way in hell a baja 90 goes 45 mph with or without a rev limiter....On radar I have seen a baja 90 go from about 23-24 mph against the limiter to about 27-28 with the limiter disconnected..........The engine is about the only good point to these quads..Too bad the lousy electrical system prevents it from running most of the time.

This thing flies! You would not believe the speed, def. not 45mph, but it's extremely fast guessing around 35mph, i will clock it by riding next to a car and update with a new reply on the speed of this thing! It's very impressive to me. I will get a YouTube Video up so everyone can see this and how to modify the CDI without voiding the warranty.

Great! I'm glad I could help! Feels like these things go like a bat out of HELL! Lot and Lots of FUN! Oh, and an update on my situation with a broken part: Luckily Pepboys helped me out with the part, but I also called Baja Motorsports about getting a new tie rod end and because the tie rod ends are on back order they sent me a brand new tie rod assembly which contains two tie rod ends and a new tie rod, I amazed at the service based on what others have said in the forums before. Just thought I'd let everyone know.

HEY what local store has the rear brake pads for a baja 90</end quote></div>
I bought a set for mine off A guy that does warranty work on them. Check with the store you bought it from and ask who does the warranty/service work on them. They may have them in stock. They were cheap like 10 bucks I think.
Ph. Baja if that route doesn't work and if that don't work let us know as that bike is sold under different brand names too.

I have a 05 model and know when you try to start it . It acts like it is in gear . Also with the engine shut off when you try to push the bike backwards it turns the engine over . Has anyone else run into this problem.
