Just a note these engines are based or copied from the old Honda engines so something like the Clylmer Honda singles 50-110cc would cover it. I believe Baja has service manuals for them also I heard they once had some available onlline.

I found that the fuel line from the gas tank to the carb was too long and could have kinked. That would stop the flow. Also, I cut the wire to the kill switch and soldered the two wires together to complete the circuit. That way there is no chance for it to accidentally come out or be pulled out. I have pulled the plug out of the rev limiter and it runs great at full throttle. I am about 200 lb. and it works great for me. I also have ridden it with my wife on the back. It handles us both, but I don't think I would suggest too much riding like that. I am thinking of changing the rear sprocket to a larger one so it could handle us both, but that would decrease the top speed.

I just purchased the Baja 90cc and have a problem I was hoping someone could help me to resolve.
The ATV will only allow me to go as fast as 30-32km on the speedometer and then the ATV will start to jolt (missing) until I lower the throttle.
I don't know if this would have anything to do with the level of Octane gas being used, but I read later that the ATV requires a Octane of 90 or higher. I had filled mine up with 87 Octane. I haven't had a chance to drain the gas and refill it up with a 90 or higher octane gas yet, but was wondering whether or not this could even be why the ATV is acting this way.
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
My ATV is at the cottage so I haven't had the time to go up there and try the higher octane gas yet.

Hi JerryH,
I haven't had a chance to buy mine yet, hopefully this weekend I will get to CDN TIRE and get a couple for me and the kids, but, if you read through the postings in this forum you will find that there is a rev limiter on the ATV. This is most likely causing the problem. There are at least a couple of posts that will tell you where to find the limiter on the ATV and how to disconnect it. I would try this as well as getting a higher octane fuel and I am sure this will help. I am sure you will get replies from others with hands on experience, I have found everyone to be very helpful in giving me input when requested.
Good luck,
