Hello, first post here

I been keeping up with all the threads about the baja90 and decided to purchas one for my 8 year old. Thought id share a few things with you all as you did with us.
1. Purchased the baja90 from canadian tire in toronto ontario. When we got it home i noticed one of the front light bulbs where burnt out, no big deal canadian tire took one off there other machines to give to me.
2. sunday morning took my son riding for a solid 7 hours of fun. no problems until we decided to go home and put the bike on the trailer, the atv wouldnt keep its idle. i made no fuss over it could be the engine is wet. Next morning i wanted to see if the atv would keep its idle. did the same thing, if i didnt keep it reved up with the throttle it would die out. I took a good look at the bike and noticed the head bolts, and manafold (muffler) bolts where loose especially the muffler. Gave the bolts a good tightning and the bike is back to normal, Revs nicely.
So that has been my first 2 days of owning the bike, its alote of fun, alote of top end power when the throttle limiter is unplugged. Ill encourage you all to keep an eye on the bolts and make sure there snug once in a while. I have taken alote of information from this site and corected the known minor problems before they start. EXCEPT FOR ONE that hasent been said yet. on the right side near the front brake, there is a wire for the back tail light, tape that down to the handle bars so it dosent creat alote of movement on the wire, my brother in laws wiggled it self lose over time and now his rear tail light always stay on unless you wiggle the wire.

baja 90 after reading your post I remebered something about mine that happened. Boys came and said it quit and wouldn't start. I went and took a look and sure enough no go. I was looking it over and when I looked to check for spark I found the problem. The spark plug wire had dropped down and melted against the exhaust pipe causing it to short etc. So I took a tie strap and tied it up better under the tank there. I don't know maybe my little quad didn't have the plug wire tied up properly from the factory or something. Also the exhaust pipe has a rattle to it now. Its a two piece set up and its rattling where its joined under the silver shield. I may have mentioned it before on here. Anyway I haven't had the time to look into it yet. The boys don't seem to mind!

Welcome Baja90..great point about the taillight..I didn`t even know mine had a brake light until my friend brought his over..my taillight was on all the time even with the light switch off...so I went over the wires and found the problem it was also the wires going to the front brake handle.. they were touching all the time.. so I unhooked that wire from the harness...problem solved ( other than no brake light from front brake , but my son always uses rear brake anyway. know big deal ) The quad will not start now unless brake is applyed which is a good safety feature...

Have a chance to pick up a Baja 90 for 1200 taxes in.Not even a tank of fuel run through it.Just wondering about the 90 day warranty on the bike when your buying a used machine. Is it still in effect even if it is not the original owner?

Well your from Nova Scotia so the quad must have been bought at canadian-tire...Ask the owner what store they bought it from then contact the store and ask them about the warranty or call baja-motorsports toll free @ 1-888-863-2252....So where in N.S. do you live? I'am also from N.S. I live in Annapolis county...

Thanks for the info.I'm from the Dartmouth area. I was looking at buying new but I missed the sale price when it was on.I have yet to go and look at the quad so we will see what happens when I get a chance to look at it and see how it runs.
