Default Carb jetting/tuning???????????????

2005 Eton 90

I need help with jetting/tuning a 20mm Keihin Carb, keep in mind I have NO idea how to do this. I picked up a 20mm Keihin carb kit, exhaust and high pereformance cdi from Hetrick. I have everything installed but it doesn't run good. It starts up fine and could idle until it runs out of gas but it isn't driveable.

I don't know enough about it to tell what the problem is. It just sputters around and has no pull. Way slower than when it was stock. I don't wanna run it leaned out because I can't afford new engines. If I could get some pointers I'd appreciate it.

Call Rich at Hetricks and he should be able to get you close. Be sure to tell him what pipe and other things you are running.

Pull the plug and check it, You may be running rich ? The sparkplug is a great indicator for what is going on inside your engine.
Have you checked to make sure you do not have any air leaks ? carb to intake .... or a exhaust leak ? Start with the basics and work you way up from there.
