Chain Adjustment on 2005 Kfx 80
Seem pretty loose to me, but it dont say anything about adjusting it in the owner's manual, so maybe there's no adjustment? Why do you have to use Kerosene to clean the chain? Why can't I just use WD-40? I use wd-40 on my quad to clean the chain. Can I use chain wax on the chain once it's clean? Could I just take off the chain guard or not necessary? Thanks for any advice...........

Here's something I posted a while ago....
I was surfing a while ago and came across some very interesting info on Chain Maintenance and related info. Some of the stuff I knew and some of the other info was a major eye-opener. Well worth reading. Especially if you are new to mini-quads.

Note: Sounds like Chain Wax is the best to use....
-----------------------------
Always keep the following in mind: - Press Here -
When oiling chains, ensure you keep it in neutral. Better yet, turn the engine off, put your Quad on a "T" stand and turn the back wheels by hand. Ensure you keep rags away from its sprocket teeth.... Always remember... OIL Safe!!!!
---------------------------
If possible, install a Spring Loaded chain tensioner on your mini. We installed a Spring Loaded Chain Tensioner on our Pred-90. We set it tension in the Spring and in the fall. And that's it. No fuss / no muss the rest of the year. To me, all chain driven items should have a spring loaded tensioner. One of the best upgrades we've done to our Pred-90. For a details of our install, surf:

Happy reading the drill downs with this info...
