Lt 80 throttle cable

Lt 80 throttle cable
The everytime I take it apart. I have a hard time of getting it back in. It take a lot of time to get it adjusted back. The last two times the throttle was wide open when it started up. What i'm i doing wrong? The adjustment on top of the carb. is lock. So why is it changing everytime i remove it. Uptmor250r
