Default Carb problem update

This is a follow up on my previous post titled "Stumped by Carb." I took the carb. and put the hose of my shop vac. onto the front of it creating a vacuum and the slide moves freely when I open and close the butterfly. Does a shop vac. pull more vac. than the intake stroke of the piston therefore overcoming my problem or did this thing just decide to start working? I'm at work right now so I can't install it and check but I was hoping this might give someone with more experience in this matter some fresh ideas. Thanks Jeff

make sure you change the vacuum hoses when reinstalling the carburator,it only takes the smallest leak to keep the diapham from working. they use a 5mm hoses. you can use 3/16 hose as a replacement but don't use 1/4 inch its to loose and can cause a leak.
