Default 250cc problem

My atv starts up fine and will drive good for about 25-45 minutes, then it acts like it is out of gas and ends up dying. If I start it up right after that it will die as soon as I give it gas. If I wait 5 to 10 minutes it will run for another 5 minutes or so before acting like it is out of gas. It seems the longer I let it sit, the longer I will be able to drive it afterward. It is fully automatic, water cooled and shaft driven. Anybody have experience with this?

Thanks

Is it out of gas? Just kidding....no seriously is it out of gas?

Anyway, what kind of atv is it? That will help any of the readers be able to answer your problem better. Are starting the thing and riding it right away? My 250 will do that if I dont let it "warm up" for 5-10 minutes. Aside from that maybe check your fuel line to see if gas is actually getting through (maybe a kink or hole). On my Kazuma I had to play with the air idle screw and adjust the valves. I have to think some more, maybe someone else has an idea?

Try cleaning the carb. you may have a something restricting the needle and seat for the float. Will slowly fill the float bowl back up and run till the bowl empty's out again if this is the problem.
