Our Lt80 hates Wiseco's
#1
My son's Lt80 hates Wiseco pistons. We're bored to big now to use OEM pistons. Has anyone got the secret to making them work. We were on our 3rd tank of fuel, and it failed. The front side of the piston was all marked up and the rings were stuck. I wish I knew a way to make these darn things work.

If Jack Moore (Lt80) see's this he can help you out. Something about needing more clearance to keep it from seizing. .0035 instead of what Wiseco recomends. You also have to break it in more than a cast piston, and let it warm up comepletly before riding.

Lots of warm up time with a forged piston. People look at me funny when I ask what thier riding habits are. Long warm up vs. start and go. OE pistons typically fail less than forged ones. Just my observation.
