WOT=Wide Open Throttle Imagine how the ride is for my son who weighs 52 lbs with all his gear on! He definitely gives it all he's got, though. He has no fear. Something that only the young possess and the old lament.

psdad the cobra has a much lower stance and is alot lighter it is just not even a com0parison in machines. Has anyone lightened their clutch i just got one to try and see what happens will try it out this weekend. digginfool i put the 28 mm on my daughters and love the difference if you put one on you can use the stock throttle cable just run it over your gas tank brackets if you dont it will hang itself up and not let it close all the way.

mx, are you using the stock manifold with that 28 carb? inside the tube of the stock mani in even smaller than the 24, and diginfool the carb "24" has a little stem in front of the carb that will receive a small hose, do you have this hole pluged? if not it wont idle down its suckin air, "just a thought" .

The idle problem I have is not too high of an idle; it idles too slow. The only way I've been able to cure it is to screw the idle adjustment screw out, tighten the throttle cable until the revs start to climb and fine tune with the idle adjustment screw. I'll get it set at a good position but if you blip the throttle a couple times, it slowly idles down and stalls. Very aggravating. I've tried everything and can't get a steady idle out of it (yes, I've tried the air mixture adjustment, too). Outside of that and the shocks, very satisfied with the quad. Hopefully, will have everything up to speed in time for race season this fall.

My Daughter has the ASCO MX Pro 100 which is identical to the Apex (2005). What can I say, I spent $1200.00 pumping up her LT80 to a 108CC plus pipes, widening kit, shocks, you name it. The stock ASCO/APEX blows it's doors off; no comparison. Now have I had issues ? Yes. But it's been all small stuff. The first thing you want to do is replace the air filter with a K&N. Run good gas (C-12 mix). I live in southern Cal; I've had no problems getting parts quickly from East Side Motor Sports in Tuscon AZ.
If you have little ones who want to race, this is their bike; great bang for buck. You can easily spend double (Cobra) for very little more.

We now have 3 races and a bunch of practices on our stock 06 90s. Not 1 problem. The track had changed it up a bit and added 5-6 foot double to give it more challange for the dirt bikers normaly the minis go around not our kids on the apexs they lauch this thing we are the first minis to clear this double one even flat landed sevral times no BREAKAGE on stock shocks etc. I know its a matter of time with that kind of abuse somthing will give.
My point is its not a JUNK mini for the money and we love our Apexs.
